I have had success in managing large classrooms, evaluating teachers, and enforcing school policy through my leadership. I believe my skills combined with my professional expertise align closely with the responsibilities outlined in the job advertisement and make me an ideal candidate for this role.  

In my current and past roles, I demonstrated strong communication, and personal relationship skills and provided leadership to build a strong community of teachers to support student achievement. I have been directly involved in program developments resulting in increasing student proficiency by 5% and obtaining growth in over 52% of students by mid-year. Through my grade level programs, I increased attendance rates by 6%. By creating behavior plans and implementing a positive reward system I was able to decrease problem behaviors in students by 58%. I have completed over 100 hours of professional leadership development training to critique and enhance my leadership skills. Most recently I have increased my knowledge of leadership through the Atlanta Public Schools Instructional Leadership Development Program.

To support the school improvement plan, as the teacher ambassador for the Atlanta Public Schools, I was able to decrease teacher turnover by retaining and cultivating teachers leading to 90% of hired teachers working past the probational period.
